Enjoying my time at home
I made it home yeah!! Thanks to Jesus my flights and everything went well. I feel like we live such rich life styles back here in the states. Its great to have carpet, soft beds, couches, hot running water, meat, cell phone, clean none-smelly bathrooms, my whole closet full of clothes back, my car, and I could go on and on..... But the best is by far to be with family and friends again!! Don't get me wrong I had a wonderful time in Mexico and I am really glad I went! The people... the culture... the food...It was great! And God was def there with me every step of the way. Thanks everyone who prayed for me and supported me while I was down there! I really appreciated it! .... I miss all you guys down there in Choix! .....
Mi hermanita y yo. Its so good to be with family

This is a friend Lupita who lives in here in town. She wanted us to take some pregnancy shots of her. So Tricia and I had fun playing around with the pics. Since then she has had a healthy baby boy. The father of the baby was killed and Lupita is 17. She lives with her Grandma and mother. My heart really goes out to her....

green walls, foot races, tortillas, friends...
.....Sweety....
.....My Dearest roommate and Friend Tricia....This pic was taken one day after we were walking back from the river and saw this green wall and snapped some pics....
....For a more interesting post, a lot more information on life here, and more pics you can look at her blog at changethewaywepraise.blogspot.com !
This is sweet lil Marlen....The flower in her hair, I thought was interesting, it came off a tree but it looks like a clematis flower. /....Oh yea Someone asked if I was her mom!? lol i don't look that old do i?? But Its very normal here to have babies very young.
One day Tricia and I went around taking pics of the area, this is one of them. We were hoping for a very vibrant sunset but although we didn't get that God still gave us a very pretty sunset.
Back in Sept there was a big holiday here with foot races, bike races, food, and music. The boys from the orphanage help to participate in the foot races. This is Miguel, Diego, Domingo, and Morgan, who was here for two months with his family, watching the races.
...Learning how to make tortilla's!....Ana, a good friend, taught Tricia and I how to make um at her place over an open fire. We in exchange taught her how to make cake. The next day Tricia decided we would try to make tortilla's on our own, since we were now experts at it, an of course they ended up a big flop with the whole kitchen and dining room filling up with smoke....No, not really actually...They tasted fine and we ate um ...but i still think you can't beat making them on an open fire! These tortilla were corn and flower mixed. ....In this pic you can also see Ana's mother in the back peeking in...i love the way there life style is so relaxed and nothing matters! They have nothing better to do in the whole word than watch the gringos lol..
.....And the finished Tortilla's....
...Bri with Alma, Cynthia, Tita, Carla, Domingo, and Udiel....After Saturday School one day...

school has stared her. Maria is in her school uniform here with Janessa (her current teacher)
And oh yes! one night me and Rach cought not one, but 4 mice all with in an hour! it was so gross! We would be layin in bed and hear it go snap and make our selves get out or bed, come out... an the thing would still be wiggling (gross!) in the trap. We would go through the disgusting process of getting it out of the trap and discarding of it at some far away place, and go back to bed only to be awaken again by a "snap!"....
Rach and I and the grls here right now...
my spanish friend and I. Im so thankfull for the encouragment of God giving us friends!

Rach and I ....We are quickly becoming very good friends!...Who of course have many great late night prayers an talks lol...
One night the three of us slept out on the lil shed roof...till about 2 30 when it started to rain. We had taken our mattresses out an everything so by the time we got it all moved back inside the rain had stopped
But thank God the bugs didn't bother us they are def getting a lot better! What the boys have been up to... planting. A neighbor guy also comes over and helps them
taking a rest...It gets pretty hot and humid these days

yes very dirty lol ...Prayers for this boy along with the other boys would be appreciated...lately there have been some really major issues with respecting and obeying authority... its eased up a lil due to God working through prayer...But please continue to pray for wisdom and knowledge in knowing how to deal with it...thanks
